Classic Dark Blue Shaker Kitchen in Moor Park

A classic kitchen with a modern edge.

A timeless look for a modern lifestyle.

This lovely, classic dark blue shaker kitchen project in Moor Park was the perfect way to show off Timberfusion's ability to create a traditional space with a modern edge. Transforming this tiny kitchen into a large open-plan space was a joy to see evolve. It was previously divided into two rooms, so we had plenty of work to make it open and inviting — and we couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out.

Interested in open-plan living?

  • Our client decided on dark blue shaker-style cabinetry with stainless steel handles. The dark colour scheme gives the room a sense of sophistication and luxury, while the stainless steel handles add a touch of modernity. A traditional mantelpiece sets above the range cooker with a matching bespoke tiled backsplash that adds character to the room.

The hidden fridge and freezer, along with the hidden walkthrough door to a larger utility room, give this kitchen its seamless look while maintaining all the functionality our client needs. The utility room has plenty of shelving for kitchen appliances, cereals, and spices. It also houses a washer and dryer to keep the kitchen clutter-free.

This kitchen is also the perfect space for entertaining and socializing. The open bar area has numerous wine shelves at the base and features glass shelves at the top with an antique mirror backing. Right beside it is the wine fridge, providing an excellent space for parties or just hanging out with friends.

Lastly, at the other end of the room is a large window that lets in the perfect amount of natural light and offers a beautiful view of nature. We framed it with tall open shelves and built a bench seating using a 6-metre Spekva solid wood.
