We were approached by an architectural firm to provide our technical design and fabrication expertise for a bespoke staircase in a residential property in Surrey. The modern design was intended to be a focal point of the home, so we worked closely with them to deliver on the architects' vision.

Adams & Collingwood approached us to provide our technical design and fabrication expertise for a bespoke staircase on a residential property. The ultra-modern design was intended to be a focal point of the home, so we worked closely with FiveStars Ltd to deliver on the architects' vision.
The steel frame was provided by FiveStars Ltd and is what makes this staircase unique. Before manufacture, a sample tread was made in cross-section for approval from the client and architect. Manufacturing processes began with making up a tread sleeve in our workshop to ensure cleanliness and solid jointing of the Corian.
Making up the sleeves in-house means less time on site to play our part in smooth and timely project delivery. The sleeves are then delivered to the site and slid onto the steel frame. We used 15mm MDF substrate and 6mm Corian cladding in Glacier White for maximum durability and visual impact.
